Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care) Part-time

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive primary care services to infants, children, and adolescents in an outpatient setting. This role focuses on preventive care, health maintenance, and management of common acute and chronic pediatric conditions. The NP works collaboratively with the healthcare team members to deliver high-quality, family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine well-child visits, physical exams, and developmental screenings
• Diagnose and manage common pediatric acute illnesses and minor injuries
• Manage stable chronic conditions such as asthma, ADHD, and obesity
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines and regulations
• Administer and manage immunizations per recommended schedules
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies
• Provide anticipatory guidance, health education, and counseling to patients and families
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, schools, and community resources as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and population health programs
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification (PNP-PC or FNP)
• Active RN and NP license in the practicing state
• Prescriptive authority and DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
• Strong clinical judgment and evidence-based practice skills
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in pediatric primary care or family practice
• Experience with well-child care, immunizations, and preventive health guidelines
• Familiarity with EHR systems and pediatric quality metrics
• Bilingual skills a plus, depending on patient population

Work Schedule & Environment

• Outpatient pediatric primary care clinic
• Part time schedule (M,W,F)
